Events & Information
There are many free schoolwide events for our students and their families throughout the year
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
We have a night every year where we play a movie on a giant screen and all Dawe students and families are invited to bring chairs or blankets and watch the movie together while enjoying snacks and drinks on the house!
TRUNK-OR-TREAT
This is a really fun way to go trick-or-treating with the rest of the school community! Volunteers from the school community decorate trunks and hand out candy, and kids are able to come see their friends and show off their costumes in a safe familiar space
DIVERSITY NIGHT AT THE DAWE
Diversity Night at the Dawe is a free event for all Dawe families on 1/29/25. This is a night full of food, activities and fun in which we celebrate what an amazingly diverse crew of Dragons that we have! Anyone interested in sharing their culture through an activity, demonstration or food item, please let the main office know, and reach out to the PTO with any questions!!
DAWE SPIRIT DAY
This is our end-of-the-year event outside on the blacktop where we invite all students and their families to come have fun with a DJ, bouncy houses and tons of snacks!

The Dawe runs many fundraisers throughout the year:
FUN RUN
This fundraiser is a great time for all! Students collect pledges from friends and family (some employers will match these pledges) The pledges say that they are per lap, but the student does not need to run the laps to earn the pledges! The day of the Fun Run we have a track out in our field with a DJ to get our kids up, moving and having fun. Families are encouraged to come watch from the sidelines and cheer the kids on!
HOLIDAY STORE
ach year in December we have a Holiday Store where all students may purchase items for $1, $2, $3 or $5 that they package up and bring home as gifts for friends, family, even pets!
SPRING FAIR
Each year our major fundraiser is the Spring Fair, not only does it raise funds for the school raise funds for the school, it also brings the community together for a great time! We have games, prizes, a cake walk, huge theme baskets, raffles, silent auction, bake sale, vendor tables and a variety of food in the kitchen. Notifications will go home regarding volunteering, tickets for the Big Raffle and donating to the kitchen
POPCORN FRIDAYS
Every Friday morning parents come into the school and pop fresh popcorn for the students and the staff, which gets distributed to the entire school. The PTO suggests a donation of $20/year to help support this task, but each child receives popcorn whether or not they are able to donate
